SHQ October 2010 Meeting
Happy Fall! Thank you for your quick responses in changing our October meeting date from the 13th to the 20th. Everyone wanted to get out of town, work on projects or spend time with their families with the 2 day UEA break (Oct. 14-15), so the date change was welcomed. We are now officially a chapter of the Utah Quilt Guild! This was one of the goals we set out to do last spring when we reorganized the group. Our task at hand is to come up with a Chapter Charter to submit to UQG. I have done some research and there are some excellent examples out on the web. I will have these ready for us on Wednesday. Jennifer Novoa's quilt is coming along or close to being completed (I think!). I believe we will be having a preview at our meeting. Cameras will be ready!For our October meeting, please bring a "gift or holiday idea" to share that can be used for family, neighbors, friends, co-workers or anyone else on your gift list. Laura Dewsnup made a cute little purse-size card carrier that I have used to put all my fabric punch cards and discount cards in. The gift or holiday ideas can be anything from very simple to more elaborate, whatever you want to bring. With the holidays right around the corner, the more ideas the merrier. Also, don't forget your show-and-tell and any quilting questions you may have. We love to help where we can and are always want to see what each of us is working on. See you on October 20 @ 4:30 pm.
